Computing
At Hollycroft Primary School, Computing is taught using the Teach Computing curriculum, developed by the National Centre for Computing Education. This programme provides a clear and progressive approach that helps pupils develop essential digital knowledge and skills.
Through engaging lessons, pupils learn about computer systems, programming, digital media, data and information and online safety. The Teach Computing curriculum supports the development of computational thinking, problem-solving and creativity while ensuring children understand how technology works and how it can be used responsibly.
Our aim is for pupils to become confident and responsible users of technology. Computing at our school encourages children to think logically, create digital content and develop the skills they need to thrive in an increasingly digital world.
