Languages
At Hollycroft Primary school, French is taught using the Language Angels scheme of work. This programme provides a structured and progressive approach to language learning, helping pupils develop confidence in speaking, listening, reading and writing in French.
Through engaging lessons, songs, games and interactive activities, pupils learn key vocabulary, pronunciation and basic grammar while exploring aspects of French culture. Language Angels supports clear progression across year groups, allowing pupils to build on their language skills over time.
Our aim is for pupils to develop a positive attitude towards language learning and gain an appreciation of other cultures. Learning French at our school helps children develop communication skills, curiosity about the wider world and confidence in using a new language.
